Slowly and steadily Kiara took baby steps to enter the league with 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' and her blatant self-pleasuring act in Karan Johar’s web anthology 'Lust Stories' suddenly made fans and filmmakers realise that she is more than just a pretty face.
It was courageous of Kiara to play docile Preeti Sikka in 'Kabir Singh' knowing that the film is Shahid Kapoor's canvas. Her portrayal of docile Preeti Sikka is apparently being loved by the audience however the critics grilled director for reducing her to an object of desire.
But the criticism faded away as the film continues to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. With 'Kabir Singh', Kiara has rolled into the 200 crore club and the film is now inching towards to enter 300 crore club.

Kiara has moved on from the 'Kabir Singh' success with a gratitude post for she has interesting projects at various levels of production.
Up next for her is 'Laxmmi Bomb' and 'Good News' with Akshay Kumar. She is yet to begin shooting for her first female-centric film 'Indoo Ki Jawani', a quirky modern-age love story with Aditya Seal.
Interestingly, Kiara has teamed up with her rumoured beau Sidharth Malhotra for Vikram Batra biopic 'Shershaah'. The duo has already started shooting for the film directed by Vishnu Vardhan.
The 27-year-old actor's horizon is not limited to the Hindi film industry. Kiara's Telugu outings in Ram Charan's 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' and Mahesh Babu's 'Bharat Ane Nenu' have upped her stocks in the South too.
On digital front, Kiara is gearing up to play a rockstar in Netflix's 'Guilty' which marks Karan Johar's foray into the digital production.
With all that is happening in Kiara's professional life, it seems she had to wait a bit long for breakthrough. Nevermind, Kiara Advani has arrived and how!
