Mumbai: Nagraj Manjule, who is all set to mark his directorial debut in Bollywood with 'Jhund', has wrapped up shooting with Amitabh Bachchan.
Helmed by the Marathi director the film will portray the life of a teacher Vijay Barse. The 'Shehanshah' of Hindi cinema has essayed the role of the retired sports teacher who ignites a slum soccer movement.
‘Jhund’, a sports biopic had earlier been postponed on an indefinite note. Scheduled to go on floors in October 2017, the film got pushed for February 2018.

Manjule, who is working with Bachchan for the first time, had earlier took to his Facebook profile to share news of the technical setback.
The film starring Bachchan in the role of a tribal teacher will also feature Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru in pivotal roles.
Jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath and Nagraj Manjule, the film is distributed by UTV Motion Pictures. The film is set to release on September20, 2019, under the banners of T series, Tandav Films and Aatpaat productions.
