Mumbai: The film industry has been sorely hit by the pandemic and consequent lockdown. After the government eased restrictions with unlock 2.0, the makers of Akshay Kumar's next Bell Bottom are all set to take the film on floors.
The makers are gearing up to begin shooting next month in Scotland, according to sources. While international travelling has not yet resumed, the team will travel to Scotland in private jets.
The upcoming flick is a period thriller that will star Akshay in the lead, Vaani Kapoor too has a meaty role in it. It is helmed by Ranjit M Tewari and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani.

Akshay and Vaani will share the screen space for the first time. Eager to begin shooting, Vaani had earlier told IANS, "I just can't wait to be back on the sets again and start shooting. Having said that we obviously will have to take a lot more safety measures but things will have to eventually return to normalcy. I feel more than being fearful, one will just have to be cautious and take all preventive measures and continue being optimistic."
Bell Bottom is slated to release on April 2, 2021.
Besides Bell Bottom, Akshay will also be seen in Sooryavanshi. This cop drama is directed by Rohit Shetty and is scheduled to hit the screens during Diwali this year, after being postponed due to the pandemic.
