Hyderabad: Bollywood's hit machine Ayushmann Khurrana has signed debutante director Anubhuti Kashyap's film Doctor G. The film will mark Ayushmann's third collaboration with Junglee Pictures after Bareilly Ki Barfi and Badhaai Ho.
Ayushmann will be starring in and as Doctor G in Junglee Pictures's next production, reported a leading daily. The campus comedy-drama will be helmed by debutante director Anubhuti Kashyap, who is the younger sister of acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap.

Khurrana, who is known for picking up out of the box cinema has green signaled Doctor G for the same reason. The National Award-winning actor told a daily that he fell in love with the script of Doctor G instantly because it is super fresh. Ayushmann's staple is quirky slice-of-life films and Doctor G would be no different assured the actor.

The 36-year-old actor said that Doctor G's story is extremely unique and innovative which will make the audience laugh and ponder. The actor is excited for he will be essaying the role of a doctor for the first time in his career. Ayushmann is hopeful that Doctor G turns out to be an entertaining film with a message and one that is thought provoking.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann is busy shooting for Abhishek Kapoor's upcoming romantic drama, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. He plays an athlete in the film that also stars Vaani Kapoor.
