Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana on Friday lauded his co-actor Surekha Sikri for achieving the title of 'Best Supporting Actor' in the 66th National Film Awards.
The actress was last seen on big screens in 'Badhaai Ho' portraying the role of Ayushmann's grandmother.
The film 'Badhaai Ho' has also won the title for being the 'Best Film providing wholesome entertainment'.
Expressing happiness for the honour conferred to him, the actor gave special credit to actor Surekha for 'Badhaai Ho'
Congratulating the team of 'Badhaai Ho', the actor tweeted: "Feeling ecstatic and overwhelmed! Congratulations to the entire Badhaai Ho team... and #SurekhaSikri ma’am you’re the best!"
His another sought after movie 'Andha Dhun' has also bagged the award for being the best Hindi film.
In a series of Tweets, Ayushmann congratulated the entire team of 'Andha Dhun' and actor Vicky Kaushal who has also bagged the 'Best Actor' award for 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'.
Expressing his overwhelming feeling, he wrote: "A big congratulations to the entire team of Andhadhun... It’s a surreal feeling!"
