Hyderabad: Actor Alaya F entered the filmdom following her mother Pooja Bedi's footsteps. She is a star kid so to speak but clearly not someone who got a dream debut with Dharma Productions or Yash Raj Films. The actor revealed that she has been auditioning for so long and finds the churn nerve-wracking yet fun.
From lockdown snatching away the opportunity of being visible to being raised by a strong-headed single mother, Alaya poured her heart out on many aspects of her personality in a recent interview.

When asked about what the process of going through auditions is like, Alaya said, "It's nerve-wracking yet fun." The 23-year-old further added that auditions in person are scary and she finds herself more in control when she is self-taping the test for parts she is vying for.
"Now with the lockdown of course it's been more self-tapes which I prefer a lot more. Because you can go through it over and over again and see which take you like best and you can send that. You have more control over how you are looking. So, I like self-taping better while in-person auditions are very scary but it's good practice," said Alaya.

She also revealed how she made a reluctant Anurag Kashyap watch her 7-minute reel which convinced him to cast her in his upcoming film, reportedly titled Project 10.
In an interview, Alaya was also asked what being raised by a single mother was like to which she said that both her parents always stressed upon her the importance of being financially independent.

"In a country where parents usually put pressure on their kids for marriage, my parents are the complete opposite. They’re like ‘Als, if you get married before you’re 30 you’re doing the stupidest thing you’ve done in your life. Focus on your career, focus on your work, focus on building yourself’. That’s been said to me all the time," she shared.
Alaya also has a three-film deal with producer Jay Shewakramani.
