Asha Bhosle lauds Smriti Irani for helping her post PM oath-taking ceremony

Union Minister Smriti Irani helped Asha Bhosle who was stranded in a crazy rush after PM Narendra Modi's oath-taking ceremony on Thursday. The singer thanked Smriti for saving her on Twitter.

New Delhi: Legendary singer Asha Bhosle was stranded in the crowd after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's oath-taking ceremony on Thursday. However, she was helped by Union Minister Smriti Irani for which Asha thanked her on social media.

Asha took to her Twitter handle to share a picture of herself with Irani along with a heartfelt note expressing her plight and gratitude towards Smriti's noble deed.

The swearing-in ceremony of Modi and his ministers was held at 7 pm in the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath of office and secrecy at the function.

The who's who of Indian business, cinema, politics and sports gathered to witness the event in the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
