Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has recently admitted that he is "humbled" with the success of 'Article 15' and that it has increased his sense of responsibility.

Helmed by Anubhav Sinha, the film is inspired by the heinous Badaun rape incident where two teenage girls were gang-raped and gruesomely murdered by hanging them while they were still alive.

Based on true incidents, the movie sheds light on caste discrimination which is still prevalent in the country.

In a recent interview, Ayushmann said: "I'm truly humbled with the response that 'Article 15' has been getting. It's a brave, bold film intended at starting a social conversation and I'm glad that it is doing so well."

Though a bit slow, the recent release of the actor has crossed a mark of Rs 50 crore in India despite several controversies.

Working with one of the finest filmmakers, the actor expressed his gratitude saying, "I thank my director Anubhav Sinha for making me a part of his vision. I'm currently being challenged creatively by filmmakers and its great collaborating with some of the finest filmmakers of our country."

He further added: "The success of 'Article 15' tells me that I'm on the right track and choosing the right films that stand for quality."

The actor has cemented his place in Bollywood with significant success in 'Badhai Ho', 'Andhadhun', 'Shubh Mangal Savdhan' and others which have earned a lot of praises for his performances.

Speaking about his back to back hits, the actor said: "Five back to back hits only increases my sense of responsibility in giving people better content that stands out."
