Hyderabad: Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor has always been vocal about his strenuous relationship with his father Boney Kapoor. Though he stood like a rock to Boney at the time of Sridevi's demise the actor also admits that at the age of 35 he is trying to know his father with whom he has never lived in the same house. Arjun's relationship with his half-sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor is evolving but he is still getting used to the equation.

Arjun and Anshula Kapoor, Boney Kapoor's children with first wife Mona Shourie Kapoor, extended warmth and care when the other family of his father was going through challenging times after Sridevi's demise. Boney married Sridevi in 1996 leaving behind Mona, his wife of 13 years, and two children.

During his recent interview, Arjun spoke about how he is yet to get accustomed to Janhvi calling him "Arjun Bhaiyaa" and said, "The thing is, ‘Arjun bhaiyya’ still sounds very strange to me, only because Anshula calls me ‘bhai’ in a very strange way. ‘Arjun bhaiyya’ is a very new thing. So, when Janhvi says that, it still feels very, very new to me, actually."

Arjun further said that he never asked Jahnvi to call him anything specific. He said, "I think it just comes very naturally to Janhvi to call me ‘Arjun bhaiyya’ because I have never even told her, ‘You should call me this’ or call me that."
Earlier, Arjun has said that he can never be okay with what his father did but when he rationalises it as an older person who's dealing with his own relationship's highs and lows, he tries to understand the situation.

"I can't say I'm okay with what my father did, because as a child I felt the repercussions, but I understand it. I can't say 'theek hai, hota hai (It's fine, this happens)', because I will always wonder. But when I rationalise it as an older person who's dealing with his own relationship's highs and lows, you understand," said Arjun.
