Mumbai: After the grand victory of the Bhartiya Janata Party in the Lok Sabha Election 2019 on Thursday, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter. He also asked the PM how to tackle his followers who are celebrating BJP victory by threatening his daughter.

Kashyap tweeted, "Dear @narendramodi sir. Congratulations on your victory and thank you for the message of inclusiveness. Sir please also tell us how do we deal with these followers of yours who celebrate your victory by threatening my daughter with messages like this for me being your dissenter."

Anurag also attached the screenshot of the person's comment on his daughter's picture along with his tweet. The comment was highly obscene and derogatory indicating rape threats.

The comment read, "Apne baap ko bol ki apna ******** band kare, warna aisa ******* tujhe kisi ne aaj tak **** nahin hoga."

Meanwhile, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit took a dig at Kashyap while questioning the authenticity of the person's account.

"This twitter handle seems to be photoshopped because it doesn’t exist. Seems to be created by an #UrbanNaxal to give an opportunity to somebody to abuse #Modi when the entire World is happy," he wrote.

Adding to his post, Ashoke further said, "If it’s true dn I am of d opinion, that ds act shud not be just condemned bt tackled. Similar thing hd hppnd with my dgthr, I md a police complaint regarding d miscreant and didn't helplessly crib to d PM bcoz for me, my daughter's dignity and safety meant more dn my politics (sic).

Agitated by Pandit's tweets, Anurag clarified that it was an Instagram account and not a Twitter one.

He wrote back, "Search for it on Instagram not on twitter you moron .. this is my daughter getting a threat as****e .."

The spat continued as Pandit hit back at Kashyap asking him to mind his language. He also asked him to file a police complaint rather than calling out PM's name.

  • Mind your language Mr. Kashyap. Read my very next tweet on the thread - https://t.co/Okac8DS4gx

Let’s file a complaint with the police and get him arrested than asking the PM what to do. I am sure you know that law enforcing agencies exist in this country of ours. https://t.co/RoexaCGPcY

Later, Ashoke also shared a screenshot of Kashyap's WhatsApp message. He captioned the post, "Clearly U r under shock after today’s election results. Drunk texting me abuses, tagging the wrong person on Twitter... please pass the joint quicker."

Not only Ashoke but actress Payal Rohtagi also targeted Kashyap calling his tweet as a way of targetting Modi. She also said that the screenshot which he shared could also be created by him as haters can go to any extent to prove their narrative.

  • Why doesn’t Anurag Kashyap file a complaint in cyber crime ? Just posting an ANONYMOUS handle screenshot with #chowkidar title is apparently a PLAN to target Modi 🙏 It can be created by himself also to do this #VictimDrama. After PM Modi's massive sweep, many Bollywood celebrities Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Anupam Kher among others congratulated him.

Notably, Kashyap has always been vocal in putting forth his anti-government views on social media.

However, post the ugly spat, ETV Bharat tried to trace the account shared by Kashyap on his tweet but couldn't trace the handle not even on Instagram.

Well, whatever might be the truth and whoever be the person involved in this, ETV Bharat strongly condemn such uncouth attitude towards a woman in any manner.
