Angrezi Medium new song Laadki will prod your heart

The latest soulful number Laadki, which released today, depicts a heart-warming and unconditional love between a father and his daughter. The song also features Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Mumbai: The makers of the upcoming Irrfan Khan starrer Angrezi Medium have released a new song on Wednesday.

Titled Laadki, the soulful track tells a tale of a father-daughter relationship. The video opens up with a silhouette of curtains jiggling in the wind, while Kareena Kapoor Khan walks over a perfectly curated soft bedding.

Sporting an all-white outfit, Kareena is seen sitting drowned in her thoughts as she syncs her lips with the song.

The song also visualises several on-screen emotional moments of Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan.

Announcing the news on Wednesday, the makers in its official Twitter handle wrote: "Maari Laadki thane, Khaama Ghani! A heartfelt melody dedicated to all the बिटियाs! #Laadki out now."

Crooned by Rekha Bhardwaj and the musician duo Sachin - Jigar, the song is penned by Priya Saraiya.

The Sachin - Jigar composition is sure to churn out overwhelming emotions from the audience.

Directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films, Angrezi Medium is the spin-off to the 2017 comedy Hindi Medium. The film has an incredible ensemble of stars including Radhika Madan, Dimple Kapadia, Ranvir Shorey, Pankaj Tripathi, Kiku Sharda, Manu Rishi, Zakir Hussain, Meghna Malik and Manish Gandhi among others.

Going by the songs from the movie, the film weaves a tale of an unbreakable bond between a father and his daughter.

The film will hit the Indian screens on March 13, 2020.
