Mumbai: Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter have been roped in to star in Ali Abbas Zafar's upcoming film.
After delivering successful hits, the 'Sultan' director is gearing up for his first production venture. Ali’s last directorial project was the Salman Khan starrer 'Bharat' which garnered over ₹200 crore at the box office.
The 'Dhadak' star who is playing the lead role will reportedly be stepping into the character of the protagonist.
The 'Student Of The Year 2' fame actress will be playing the female lead opposite to Ishan's character. For the first time, the duo will be seen sharing the screen.
If a news source is to be believed, the film will be helmed by Varun Sharma. Varun has been working under Ali Abbas Zafar's guidance for some time now.

On the work front, Ananya is currently shooting for 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' in Lucknow. Ishan was last seen in 'Dhadak' helmed by filmmaker Shashank Khaitan.
