Hyderabad: Actors Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are set to headline a romantic-comedy film, to be directed by Laxman Utekar. The yet-to-be-titled film marks the third collaboration between the director and filmmaker Dinesh Vijan after Luka Chuppi and Mimi. The upcoming film is based in Madhya Pradesh and, maybe Ujjain or Gwalior. Sara and Vicky's first collaboration is a small-town love story, like Laxman's previous films, in which he had a social message woven into the story.
The cinematographer-director was keen to explore a fresh pairing for his new project. Laxman, while speaking to a newswire has said that he is an admirer of Vicky and always wanted to work with a fantastic performer like him. While talking about the film's leading lady, the filmmaker said, "Sara has something in her and for this film she is apt, she will kill it." The team is confident that Vicky and Sara's fresh pair will create magic on-screen. While the leading pair is finalised, the makers are yet to lock the rest of the cast for the movie.
