Mumbai: Actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal who were all set to tie the knot in April this year, but got delayed in the wake of COVID-19. While earlier it was reported that the duo will get married in the latter half of 2020, Richa and Ali now have decided to take their wedding vows next year.
In an interview with a leading portal, Ali said, "Let's see when we are able to accept the new normal, then, we will decide on a date, maybe early next year."
Richa had expressed, "So, it is only pragmatic to push the wedding to the coming year in the interest of everyone who would wish to attend."
Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha postpone their marriage to 2021 Ali had proposed Richa in a romantic way during their Maldives getaway earlier this year. All plans were in place and arrangements made for couple's marriage festivities in Mumbai, Lucknow and New Delhi, by this year's end.

While the invites were yet to be sent, the couple had reportedly finalised everything but had to cancel it all due to the pandemic.
Talking about his wedding plans getting postponed, Ali had previously told, "We were supposed to get married, but it has been pushed. Of course, it is a bit disheartening because we were all geared up, and preparations were on in full swing. But it’s fine. We didn’t want to make a big noise about our wedding. It is just the next step forward in our lives."
Ali and Richa became friends while shooting together in 2012 for Fukrey. They came close and started dating in 2015. However, the relationship was under the wraps till 2017 when the lovebirds decided to make it public.
