Hyderabad: Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has opted out of Yash Raj Film's big-budgeted superhero film which is a launchpad for Ananya Panday's cousin Ahaan Panday.
According to reports, Ajay had given a nod for YRF's upcoming superhero flick but never signed it officially. The actor agreed to play a supervillain in the film directed by Shiv Rawail. The film is said to be part of YRF Project 50 celebrating a half-century of the banner in the world of cinema.

The reason for Ajay's decision is said to be the delay in all projects and releases due to the pandemic. The actor has several films at various stages of production. The 52-year-old actor's diary is apparently jam-packed with projects like RRR, Maidaan, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Mayday, Thank God and a film with Neeraj Pandey. While production on most films has come to standstill due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, the actor reportedly could not accommodate the Shiv Rawail directorial as he has to allot dates to the films which are already on floors.
