Ahead of SSR's death anniversary, Rhea urges fans to 'hang in there'

Rhea Chakraborty has penned down a thought-provoking note on social media with which she urged her fans to stay strong. Her post has come days ahead of the first death anniversary of her late boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Hyderabad: Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty took to Instagram to share a hope-filled message with her fans. The actor who was keeping a low profile post the untimely demise of her boyfriend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput last year has urged her fans to 'hang in there'.

Come June 14 will mark the first death anniversary of Sushant who was found hanging in his apartment in Mumbai. While family and fans of SSR are yet to discover the truth about what conspired on the fateful night, Rhea on Thursday evening took to her Instagram handle to share a thought-provoking note.

In her latest Instagram post, the actor who has over 2 mn followers on the platform, has spoken about suffering and strength. In the post, Rhea wrote, "From great suffering, comes great strength! You'll just have to trust me on this one.. Hand in there Love Rhea." The Jalebi star shared the post with portmanteau #Rheality which is a combination of her name and the word reality.

Rhea was accused by Sushant's family of abetment to suicide and also siphoning off funds from the late actor. She was also named in the first Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) chargesheet along with her brother Showik in a drug-related probe into Sushant's death case.

She was arrested last year and spent a month in Mumbai's Byculla jail in September last year in a drug-related charge. Meanwhile, the actor is part of the film Chehre starring actors Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. This is her first film release after Sushant's death. Rhea was missing from the first poster and teaser of the film, which sparked off rumours of her being ousted from the project. However, she is part of the trailer. Directed by Rumy Jafry, Chehre also features Annu Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav, Krystle D'Souza and Raghubir Yadav.

Meanwhile, in a major action, NCB on May 28 said that it has arrested Sidharth Pitani, flatmate of Sushant in a drug related case. The arrest comes almost two and half months after it filed a 12,000-page charge sheet against 33 people, including Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty and others in the Bollywood drugs mafia probe case linked to Sushant's death case.
