Hyderabad: Filmmaker SS Rajamouli's ambitious film RRR has been creating buzz ever since it was announced. After releasing Alia Bhatt's character poster from the upcoming magnum opus, the makers have now dropped Ram Charan's look as Alluri Sitarama Raju.

The much-awaited RRR boasts of an ensemble cast comprising Telugu stars Ram Charan and Jr. NTR along with Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.

Ram Charan, who celebrates his birthday on March 27, has received a gift from RRR makers in advance. The team of RRR has unveiled Ram Charan's look as Alluri Sitarama Raju ahead of his birthday. Film's director Rajamouli shared an intense poster of Charan on Twitter and wrote, "The man of bravery, honour and integrity. Presenting my #AlluriSitaRamaraju to you all... 🔥 #RRR #RRRMovie @jrntr @ajaydevgn @aliaabhatt @oliviakmorris @alison_doody @thondankani @dvvmovies @RRRMovie."

Rajamouli commenced RRR production with JR NTR and Ram Charan in 2019 while Alia joined the sets in December 2020. The film is currently in the last leg of shooting in Hyderabad with Ram Charan and NTR. After taking a very long break forced by the pandemic, the film's team got back to the sets with the necessary precautions in place.

The film is a massive production that is being made on a rumoured budget of Rs 450 crore. Rajamouli had once said that RRR will be a fictional story set in 1920s pre-independent era and it will be based on few years in the lives of two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries -- Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.

RRR is set for a theatrical release on October 13 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, besides other Indian languages.
