Hyderabad: Bollywood's ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is gearing up to sign powerhouse talent Alia Bhatt in his yet another project. Reports suggest that the actor and director are already in talks for their future collaboration.

Bhansali is known for repeating his actors especially the female actors. While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has done Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas and Guzaarish, Deepika Padukone featured in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. Priyanka Chopra too has collaborated with the master storyteller in Mary Kom for which he was a producer and his directorial venture Bajirao Mastani. Interestingly, Ranveer Singh is the only male actor whom SLB trusted for three films.

The latest entrant joining the list is Alia. According to a leading webloid report, Ms. Bhatt, who is yet to complete the shoot of Gangubai Kathiawadi, is already discussing another project with the director. If the report is anything to go by, Alia is likely to sweep all major awards for her outstanding performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actor has to unlearn a lot to match with Bhansali's vision for her character which is of the brothel Madame turned into a dreaded gangster.

Alia has apparently impressed the Black director with her dedication and range as an actor so much that he has already decided to cast her in his upcoming venture which he might produce or direct.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens Of Mumbai. The film recently landed in legal trouble when Gangubai’s son Babuji Rawji Shah filed a case against SLB, his banner Bhansali Productions, Alia, writer Hussain Zaidi and reporter Jane Borges. Babuji has called the book defamatory in nature and an infringement upon the right to privacy, self-respect and liberty. He has sought the deletion of specific chapters and halting the production of the film.
