Mumbai: Yesteryear actor Aditya Pancholi who was accused in a rape case has filed for an anticipatory bail yesterday in Dindoshi session's court.
Police had registered an FIR on charges of rape and assault case against Pancholi after a leading Bollywood actress accused him of the crime.
Versova police have lodged a first information report under various sections including sections of the Indian Penal Code and launched a probe into the actor's complaint.
Talking to a national newspaper, Aditya refuted the rape charges and said, "It is a false rape case that they were planning and now they have done it. I was anticipating this. This was pre-planned as I had filed a defamation case against them. It is not a small allegation, the law will take its course, I will fight out… the truth will come out.”
