Hyderabad: Superstar Aamir Khan is no more part of Hindi remake of Tamil 2017 hit Vikram Vedha. The actor has opted out of the project for which he was teaming up with Saif Ali Khan for the first time after their last outing together in 2001 release Dil Chahta Hai.
After months of hype around Vikram Vedha Hindi remake starring Aamir and Saif in the lead, the latest development would be a major disappointment for the fans who were looking forward to the reunion of Dil Chahta Hai stars.

Aamir has opted out of the film reported a leading webloid. The reason behind Amir's voluntary exit is said to be his dissatisfaction over how the final screenplay of Vikram Vedha remake is being worked out. The actor, who is known for going to extents for achieving excellence in all his endeavours had really liked the original but apparently was not impressed with its Hindi version.
While Aamir has backed out, Saif is still part of the film but now the filming will be delayed as the makers will have to find a replacement of Aamir. In the film, Saif will be reportedly seen playing the role of a righteous cop Vikram in pursuit of gangster Vedha, which was supposed to be essayed by Aamir.
In the original film, R. Madhavan played the cop Vikram while Vijay Sethupathi essayed Vedha. The remake will be helmed by Pushkar-Gayatri who also directed the original.
