Berlin, Germany: It's claimed to be "the smartest sensor ever created". Allterco Robotics' new Shelly Motion smart home sensor responds in less than 200 milliseconds, turning on lights and sending a motion-detection notification to a smartphone, it also boasts a long, one-year battery life.
"Shelly Motion can send information to your smartphone or let's say, I don't know, turn on the lights in just two hundred milliseconds when motion is detected," says communications manager Atanas Srebrev.
- "This actually covers all requirements of the security systems and makes the device the smartest sensor ever created."
- The Sofia-based company also claims the motion sensor won't be accidentally triggered by passing pets, thanks to artificial intelligence that establishes the optimal settings for each home.
- "With its more than 200 sensitivity levels and three additional functions for motion settings, you can rest assured that your pet won't be detected as a dangerous object," says Srebrev.
- Before leaving, Sebrev also presented the company's vision for smart sensors in the future, perhaps being used on other planets.
- "Just imagine, you're enjoying your time here on Earth and suddenly you get a notification about, say, an unauthorized movement in your office on Mars," he says.
"Elon Musk, if you're watching, you're the guy."
