Features and Specifications of Redmi 9 Power

Redmi India, a sub-brand of Mi India on Thursday launched a new smartphone called Redmi 9 Power with a 6000mAh battery and a 48MP quad-camera setup in India. Some of the features include; Full HD+ display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, etc.

New Delhi: Redmi has launched Redmi 9 Power in India on 17 December in a virtual event. Redmi 9 Power comes with an Aura Power Design Language which makes it look unique from every angle. The Redmi logo embossed in this particular device really gives it a powerful look.

The Redmi 9 Power comes in 4 Power-Packed colors:-

• The Mighty Black, for the sophisticated.
• The Fiery Red, for the bold and beautiful.
• The Electric Green, for all the quirks in the house
• and lastly the Blazing Blue

Redmi 9 Power features include:

• This is the first smartphone of Redmi which has a power-packed battery of 6000mAh. The Redmi 9 Power comes with an enhanced life span as well. Now, what does that mean? In simpler terms, you have a 600-700 charge cycle on any ordinary battery but on Redmi 9 Power you can stretch that up to 1000. In even simpler terms, it means that any average battery lasts for maybe 2 years but on the Redmi 9 Power you can go up to 3+ years with the battery being almost as good as new.
• What 6000mAh actually means? It means 695 hours of standby time. That's about 29+ days. It comes with 26 hours of full HD video playback and 13.5 hours of gaming. It comes with an 18W fast charger support and a 22.5W fast charger in the box.
• As compared to Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi 9 Power has a 20% bigger battery. However, both phones weigh exactly the same. The weight is 198 grams. This has been achieved due to the use of a premium metal alloy frame in its design. This point was further emphasized by Sneha Tainwala, Lead, Redmi Business, Mi India.
• The Redmi 9 Power comes with a 6.53-inch FullHD+ Display, which allows you to stream full high definition content and gives a lot of ease to your eyes. Now a lot of competition devices in this price segment only give you an HD+ Display. What that means is much lesser pixels per inch. In simpler terms, your images aren't that sharp. With the Redmi 9 Power and its FHD+ Display, you get twice as many pixels, which means clearer pictures.
• The Redmi 9 Power comes with Widevine L1 Certification and for the very first time on a Redmi Device, it comes with High-Res Certified stereo speakers. one at the bottom and one on top. This allows for some epic level crystal clear sounds.
• Talking about the power-packed camera Redmi 9 Power comes with a 48MP quad-camera setup, specifically developed for the India Mi fans by the Redmi camera team. During the event, it was also said that in the number series of Redmi smartphones, this is for the first time, the company introduced a 48 MP sensor. Earlier, Redmi Note Series had 48 MP sensor features.

During the event, Sneha Tainwala, Lead, Redmi Business, Mi India, also mentioned her favourite feature which is Color Focus. What that does is basically, for example, you are the subject in question, you are in colour while your background becomes black and white. Isn't this really cool? No other competition device in this price segment is able to provide a 48MP camera sensor. Whether it is low lighting or good lighting, you get some really crisp and sharp detailing on the photographs.
