California: 2020 was a year where we all started working remotely. We started to learn things online. We started to attend online classes. Almost the whole system of education became online. Our lives simply became digital and we started to spend more and more time online. Google helped us in achieving all this by introducing and adding new features in its Google Cloud Services. Some of these are:-

Video conferencing
- Google Meet became free for advanced G Suite and G Suite Education Customers.
- Google Meet allowed the participation of 250 people at one time.
- It also allowed live streaming for up to 100,000 viewers within a domain, and the ability to record meetings and save to Drive.
- It also introduced a tiled layout that allowed viewers to see up to 49 participants at once.
- Users can also join meet through Nest Hub Max.
- Secure connections were built to prevent the hijacking of accounts, multi-step account verifications and an Additional Protection Program was also included in Google Cloud to ensure maximum security of the users.

Google also introduced new ways to work and learn.
- In October, Google Workspace was launched where the users could use all the Google Apps like Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Meet, Drive, etc in one place.
- Google Workspace will include the new features that they introduced earlier in the year, integrating core tools like video, chat, email, files, and tasks, and making them better together. For starters, these new features help you move between tasks right in your Gmail inbox, allowing you to join meetings, co-edit team documents, or chat with colleagues in real-time.
- This feature also enabled its users to get access to their Gmail Inbox, Google Meetings, Chatting while doing any other work.
- To give broader usage of application and data AppSheet has been introduced by Google Cloud for its users. AppSheet is an application development platform that helps people create and extend applications without professional coding skills.
- In addition, researchers can use BigQuery ML to train advanced machine learning (ML) models with this data right inside BigQuery at no additional cost.
- COVID-19 Open Data dataset; A storehouse of COVID datasheet was also made by Google Cloud for its users.
- 100 Google Cloud training courses and 500 hands-on labs are available online, designed around in-demand core cloud skills such as cloud architecture, data engineering, and ML.
