Chittorgarh (Rajasthan): A man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house at Bhavaliya village under Nimbahara police limits in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh on Wednesday late night.
The deceased person identified as Mahendra Singh of Himachal Pradesh, was working as an assistant manager in the Nuvoco cement plant here.
According to sources, the matter came to light after Mahendra neither opened the door nor responded to anyone for several hours today. Growing suspicious, the cement plant staff broke open the door and found him hanging from the ceiling.
On intimation, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter. The body was sent to a local hospital for post-mortem. However, the exact cause behind the death of Duryodhan is yet to be established, sources said.
"We have launched a probe into the incident on the basis of the statements of locals. The exact reason for death can only be ascertained after receiving the autopsy report,' said, Arjun Lal, Assistant Sub Inspector, Nimbahara police station.
