Beirut: Dozens of protesters rallied on Thursday outside the house of Judge Fadi Sawwan, the lead judicial investigator into the catastrophic blast at Beirut's port in August.
A prosecutor filed charges on Tuesday against current and former customs officials in the case of the massive blast including one who was reportedly the point man of the militant Hezbollah group at the facility.
The port of Beirut is considered one of the most corrupt institutions in the country where ruling political factions including Hezbollah have divided up positions and created fiefdoms.
So far judges have filed charges against 33 people including 25 who are under detention.
