Watch: Dramatic rescue of 91-yr-old COVID-19 suspect by Spain firefighters

A fire engine's mechanical extendable arm was moved into position to bring the patient down. The man was taken to hospital for further check-ups.

Malaga: Firefighters in Spain used a hydraulic platform as a service lift to bring a 91-year-old suspected coronavirus patient to safety.

The man lived on the top floor of a tall apartment and was not able to be taken down in the lift.

A fire engine's mechanical extendable arm was moved into position to bring the patient down.

The man was taken to hospital for further check-ups.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

But for some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and could lead to death.
