Birmingham: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday launched the Conservative Party's election campaign in Birmingham.
Addressing party supporters, he stressed that he had never been in favor of early elections, but the government had no choice.
Members of parliament had become incapable of functioning like an anaconda that has swallowed a tapir and just refused to get Brexit done.
He said his deal with the European Union was ready to go, again comparing it to a microwave meal.
"Whack it in the microwave, gas mark... I'm not very good at cooking... gas mark four... prick the lid. Put it in, and then we can get on... we can put this deal through parliament," the prime minister said.

During his speech, Johnson also repeatedly hit out at his challenger, opposition Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn.
Johnson suggested Corbyn's position on Brexit remains opaque saying we don't even know what his position is. Is he for leave? Is he for leave or remain? Is he in or out?
He also said Corbyn's so driven by a dislike of America that he sides with mullahs of Tehran rather than Washington and jibed that the Labour Party always runs out of other people's money.
Johnson also attacked Brexit party leader Nigel Farage and others when he said critics of his Brexit deal sense they are about to lose their market.
