Turin: A fire partially destroyed the roof of a UNESCO World Heritage site in the center of Turin on Monday hitting an area of the building once used for the royal stables.
Italian firefighters rushed to the place and managed to put out the flames.
No injuries were reported so far.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
According to Adriana Rinaldi, a spokeswoman for the firefighters at the scene, the fire started at around 8 a.m. and burned through a portion of the roof. Nobody was in the building at the time.
Teams are still trying to secure the area.
Reportedly, the building was abandoned in the past few years.
