Cruise ship avoids collision in Venice lagoon

Venice lagoon is no longer a safe path for cruise ships to pass through as one ship came too close to the dock as it moved under the stormy conditions.

Venice: A cruise ship had come very close to a Venice esplanade on Sunday, as it moved through the lagoon under stormy conditions.

A video taken shows that the ship came close to the bank before veering away and narrowly missing other boats nearby.

The recent incident had described the story of a collision on a busy canal in Venice in which the massive cruise ship lost its control and charged towards the dock.

The 13 decks high vessel carrying 2,600 people hit into smaller boats and crowded pier leaving 5 injured. Although the boats tried to manage the situation but they were not strong enough to handle it safely.

Later, the incident on June 2 called for a ban on the entry of the cruise ships in the Venice lagoon.
