Moscow: Fireworks lit the night sky in Moscow on Saturday as part of the celebration for Victory Day, the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.
Victory Day is Russia's most important secular holiday and this year's observance had been expected to be especially large because it is the 75th anniversary.
But key public events including the Red Square military parade were postponed as part of measures to stifle the spread of the virus.
Russia has reported almost 200,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 1,827 deaths.
