He said he hoped "the mood of lasting peace and co-prosperity" created by Pope Francis' recent visit to the United Arab Emirates would spread to the Korean peninsula.

"Today is very significant for the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula as it is the day of the second US-North Korea summit. Crown Prince (Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan) successfully invited the pope for the first time to visit the countries in the Arabian peninsula earlier this month and delivered a message to the world for prosperity, harmony and co-existence. We hope that the mood of lasting peace and co-prosperity spreads in the Korean Peninsula with the visit of the crown prince, said Moon.

STORYLINE:
Aid workers have regained access to key grain storage silos in the conflict-ridden Yemeni port city of Hodeida for the first time in six months, UN officials said on Tuesday.
Access had been blocked due to fighting between forces loyal to the internationally-recognised Yemeni government and a Saudi-led coalition, and Iran-aligned rebels.
The rebels, known as Houthis, had blocked the World Food Programme (WFP) from crossing a front line into the government-controlled area where the silos are located.
Some 51,000 metric tons of wheat — enough to feed 3.7 million people for a month — had been in storage at the site when it was rendered inaccessible, according to a WFP spokesperson.
