Tokyo: US President Donald Trump, who is on a four-day visit Japan, on Monday said Iran wants to make a deal.
Trump, in a news conference on Monday with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, said Iran's economy has taken a major downturn since he pulled the US out of the Iran nuclear deal.
He emphasised that he is not interested in regime change in Iran, he just wants to make sure the country has no nuclear weapons.
Last week Trump said that his country will send about 1,500 additional troops to the Middle East amid escalating tension with Iran.
