Tehran: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Saudi Arabia should see the attack this weekend on its oil facilities as a "warning" to end its Yemen war.
Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday in Tehran, Rouhani said Yemenis "did not hit hospitals...they did not hit schools or the Sanaa bazaar," mentioning the internationally criticized airstrikes carried out by the Saudi coalition.
Rouhani added: "They attacked an industrial site to warn you."
In the video released by state TV, Rouhani did not address US and Saudi allegations that Iran was behind the attack on Saturday.
Yemen's Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have claimed the attack.
The US accuses Iran of being behind the assault, while Saudi Arabia already has said "Iranian weaponry" was used.
Iran denies that though it comes amid a summer of heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington over its unravelling nuclear deal with world powers.
