Tehran: Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that Iranians will neither budge nor change their stance following the new US sanctions that targeted him and his associates.
In a speech on Wednesday, Khamenei called the Trump administration 'the most sinister' US government.
Khamenei also said, "The most hated figures of such an administration accuse and insult the Iranian nation," adding, "The nation will not withdraw in the face of these curses and humiliations."
US President Donald Trump on Monday imposed the new sanctions against Khamenei and others.
Besides, the US is mulling over imposing sanctions against Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
The sanctions followed Iran's taking down of a US surveillance drone last week, worth over $100 million dollars over the Strait of Hormuz sharply escalating the crisis.
