New Delhi: Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar on Monday said that the Indian embassy in Tehran is working for early release and repatriation of all 18 Indian crew members of seized British tanker Stena Impero.
In a tweet, responding to concerns raised by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Jaishankar said that the MEA is working for the release of the Indian sailors.
Earlier, Vijayan tweeted concerning over the crew of seized British-tanker, which included four Malayalis.
In a letter Vijayan asked the MEA to share the details of the persons aboard the ship so that their families could be helped.
