Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 5,65,64,339 and killed over 13,54,813 people across the world. More than 3,93,52,858 people have recovered so far.

The US is the worst-hit nation with cases more than 1,18,73,727 and fatalities over 2,56,254.

The Health Ministry reported 2,179 new cases, the first time Japan has seen more than 2,000 new daily cases since the pandemic began. The previous high for new cases was 1,723 on November 14.
