Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 4,78,54,043 and killed over 12,20,535 people across the world. More than 3,43,57,609 people have recovered so far.
The US is the worst-hit nation with cases more than 96,92,528 and death toll over 2,38,641.
India is in the second position with cases more than 83,13,876 and fatalities over 1,23,650. With 8.2 million cases, India is the second worst-hit country behind the US. But the number of new cases being diagnosed each day is falling steadily even though testing is not declining.
The virus has devastated the global economy, tested world leaders’ resolve, pitted science against politics and forced multitudes to change the way they live, learn and work.
