Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 3,95,93,953 and killed over 11,09,252 people across the world. More than 2,96,61,167 people have recovered so far.
The US is the worst-hit nation with cases more than 82,88,278 and deaths over 2,23,644. Leading health experts have warned that a fresh Covid-19 resurgence has already hit the US as the country's overall caseload has surpassed the 8 million mark.
India is in the second position with cases more than 74,32,680 and fatalities over 1,13,032.
Europe has continued its battle with a second wave of the novel coronavirus, with several countries reporting a record surge in the number of single-day confirmed cases.
New restrictions kicked in with bars, restaurants and sports facilities will close in all red regions as part of the tightened coronavirus measures.
