Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 3,30,58,750 and killed over 9,98,747 people across the world. More than 2,44,11,772 people have recovered so far.
The US is the worst-hit nation with cases more than 72,87,593 and fatalities over 2,09,177.
The number of positive tests reported daily in the state has been steadily inching up in recent weeks, possibly because more businesses have been reopening and students have been returning to schools and college campuses.
India has registered 88,600 new confirmed coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours in a declining trend with recoveries exceeding daily infections.
India is expected to become the pandemic’s worst-hit country within weeks, surpassing the United States, where more than 7 million people have been infected.
