Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 2,74,79,200 and killed over 8,96,421 people across the world. More than 1,95,73,099 people have recovered so far.
The US remains at the top of the chart in terms of the caseload and death toll, with more than 64,80,000 cases and over 1,93,000 deaths, accounting for more than 20 per cent of the global deaths.
India recorded more than 42,77,000 cases and over 72,800 deaths, followed by Brazil with more than 41,47,000 cases and over 72,000 deaths. India just surpassed Brazil to be the country with the second-largest number of cases.
Other countries with over 30,000 fatalities include Mexico, Britain, Italy and France.
