Hyderabad: After tweeting details of Chinese casualties during the Galwan Valley violent clashes, Global Times' reporter Wang Wenwen took a U-turn saying she tweeted PLA casualties information, citing an Indian media report.
After reports emerged that three Indian soldiers were killed during violent clashes between the Indian and Chinese Army, Wenwen tweeted saying five PLA soldiers were killed and 11 were injured at the LAC.

Further, taking a U-turn on PLA casualties, Wenwen said that she cited reports of an Indian media outlet for casualties on the Chinese side.
In the tweet, she didn't mention the source of the information. While in her previous tweet about LAC clashes, she quoted the Chinese side saying 'Indian troops provoked PLA'.

Earlier, the Indian Army amended its statement regarding the face-off that took place between Indian and Chinese troops leading to the death of three Army personnel, saying that "casualties suffered on both sides" in "violent face-off" during de-escalation process with China in Galwan Valley.
According to the Indian Army, the face-off took place on Monday night."The loss of lives on the Indian side includes an officer and two soldiers," the Army said in a statement.
