Civilians killed in twin bomb blasts in Jalalabad

At least three people were killed and 20 other were wounded in a twin bomb blast that took place in Jalalabad, capital of Nangarhar province on Saturday. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blasts.

Jalalabad: A twin bomb blast killed at least three people in eastern Afghanistan on Saturday.

Hospital officials said the dead were two women and a child.

They said 20 other people were wounded in the attacks, which took place in Jalalabad, capital of Nangarhar province.

All of the victims were civilians, according to authorities.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blasts, but both the Taliban and Islamic State affiliates are active in eastern Afghanistan.
