Jakarta: As many as two military personnel sustained injuries in a blast at National Monumental park near the presidential palace on Tuesday morning.
The explosion took place within the complex located across the home ministry building on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara at around 7:05 am.
According to the police chief Inspector General Gatot Eddy Pramono, a grenade was the source of the explosion. An investigation is underway into the matter to determine the motive behind the attack.
Meanwhile, the injured soldiers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
