Fraser Island: The bodies of two 16-year-old Japanese boys have been recovered from Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island, 350 kilometers north of the Queensland capital Brisbane.
The boys were part of a school tour and were reported missing late on Friday afternoon.
"We had local police, that includes water police, dog squad," Inspector Tony Clowes, of the Queensland Police said.
"We had SES (State Emergency Service) volunteers. My understanding is there's some National Parks and Wildlife Services also provided some assistance and we had at least one air asset, a helicopter, at our disposal."

The boys' bodies were discovered by police divers just after 8:00 on Saturday morning.
