Maryland: Former United States army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning, who was put behind the bars on civil contempt charges, has been freed on Friday.
She was released from Alexandria Detention Center in northern Virginia after living 62-day in the prison for refusing to testify to a grand jury. However, her lawyers fear that she might be sent to jail again.
Chelsea was jailed for refusing to answer questions to a federal grand jury investigating WikiLeaks.
Her release comes following the grand jury's term expired. Before she left the jail, she received another subpoena demanding her testimony on May 16 to a new grand jury.

Chelsea's lawyers said she would again refuse to answer questions and could again face another term of incarceration.
Chelsea served seven years in a military prison for leaking a trove of documents to WikiLeaks before then-President Barack Obama commuted the remainder of her 35-year sentence.
