Tachira: Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro reopened the Columbia border on Saturday. Thousands of people entered the Columbian territory to buy food and medicine.
The border had been shut down for the past four months after the order of the South American nation's socialist government.
The country has faced shortages of basic supplies as a result of a severe economic crisis.
UN agencies say that more than four million people have fled Venezuela since 2015.
Colombia's foreign ministry states that more than 30,000 Venezuelans had arrived on Saturday, with almost 37,000 leaving by the end of the day.
Venezuelan President Maduro blamed the country's crisis on a Wahington-led economic war.
