Trump kicks off the 2020 Presidential campaign

US President Donald Trump formally launches his 2020 re-election campaign at a rally in Florida. Despite making the official announcement on Tuesday, Trump has been actively campaigning for re-election ever since he took office on January 20, 2017.

Orlando: 2020 is a year away. But US President Donald Trump wants to win in 2020 for a second term at the office. And he gears up for that. On Tuesday, in Orlando Trump announces his wish to run for the office of the President of the United States.

"We're going to keep it ( the US ) better than ever before. And that is why tonight I stand before you to officially launch my campaign for a second term as president of the United States ", Trump declared before a cheering crowd.

This time around Trump replaces his 2016 slogan Make America Great Again with Keep America Great. The new slogan resonated with the supporters.

In the gathering Trump, as usual, projected himself as a different kind of President by running down his predecessors, " I'm fighting for you and I think you see that. Not easy. But I love it. And the reason I love it. Because there have been few presidents that have been able to do".

The crowd did not mind his self -aggrandizement, though. It seems that the more Trump brags, and brags about himself his support base laps that up even more. The main reasons for his more or less intact popularity are his tirades against migration - an issue he has used to the hilt to drum up support for his efforts to stop people from entering the US from across the Mexico border. Trump has convinced his supporters that illegal migration is a serious threat to American security.

His initial attempts to bar the entry of Muslims from certain Muslim countries also won him great support from those Americans who see Muslims as a great threat to their country and public life.

The biggest thing that has helped Trump in a great way is the bright American economy during his Presidentship. Though critics say that the economy has improved for a number of factors, Trump's supporters feel that his stern attitude in tariff matters, especially with China, is the primary driver of economic growth.

All in all, Donald Trump is on solid footing at the moment. And he finds enormous happiness in the fact the rival Democrats have not been able to put up a matching strong personality. There is no strong and charismatic candidate to fight the irrepressible Trump the like of whom the US possibly has never seen before.
