Washington: Thousands of peaceful demonstrators poured into the streets of Washington on Saturday to protest against police brutality.
The protest took place as George Floyd was being mourned in his North Carolina hometown, where hundreds of mourners lined up to pay their respects in church.
Military vehicles and officers closed off much of downtown Washington to traffic ahead of the planned march.
Large protests also took place across the US and in major cities overseas.
