Lee County (Alabama): Satellite photos from DigitalGlobe show areas of Lee County, Alabama, both before and after a tornado struck the area.
The images from before the tornado show houses along rural roads and parts of forest, most of which were either dramatically flattened or reduced to rubble in the post-tornado photos.
The tornado struck on Sunday, killing at least 23 people and destroying around 116 homes.
It was the deadliest tornado to hit the US since May 2013, when an EF5 twister killed 24 people in Moore, Oklahoma.
