Oruro: More than 250 Bolivian and Peruvian artists worked together on the holy theme of 'Noah's Ark' for Good Friday at Oruro, Bolivia .
Jorge Chacon, an arts instructor who also participated in the event said that the artists have tried their best to put up the biblical theme which narrated the event which took place thousands of years ago when all the animals on the call of Noah directed towards the ark that protected the animals from The Deluge .
The artists also built large sand sculptures of Jesus Christ on the cross and portrayed the image of Christs's resurrection, at a site just outside the northeastern quadrant of the Bolivian city of Oruro, also famous for its carnival celebrations.
Visitors came to watch the artists creating their sculptures on Friday, which marked the 16th year of this sand art event.
